Back in 2001, the Russian space station Mir was about to deorbit and crash land somewhere on the planet. It was predicted to land in the Pacific Ocean. As a marketing gimmick, Taco Bell placed a target in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Then, they offered everyone free tacos, if Mir hit the target.
Taco Bell claimed that Mir missed the target. However, we had our pumpkin satellite camera recording the event from the skies. So, we know the truth and the real story. And, we captured the event for the world to see………..
What Goes Up Must Come Down
In 1986, the Soviet Union launched the Mir Space station into low Earth orbit. At the time, it was the largest spacecraft of any kind launched into space. Russian cosmonauts occupied Mir continuously for a record 3,644 days. This record held until the International Space Station (ISS) broke it in 2010.
Then, Mir’s orbit slowly decayed over its years in space. After all, what goes up, must come down. Finally, after over 86,000 orbits, it came back to Earth. However, no
one knew exactly where it would land.
Taco Bell’s Marketing department decided to have a little fun. First, they plced a target in the middle of
Somewhere in the Pacific, Taco Bell floats a target......

And perhaps it wan’t even an asteroid.
Better still……
